Attributes on Variant Framework Base Values

Variant Framework Base Values can have attributes.

These attributes are Hard Attributes as they are stored as fields in the Extended Variant Dimensions table.

You can use hard attributes to define further the variant framework you have set up. This can be used for data analysis.

To link attributes to variant framework base values

Attributes are found on the Variant Framework Base Values page. :

  1. Click the icon, enter Variant Framework Base Values and select the relevant link.
  2. In the Hard Attribute 1 field select an attribute for the selected base value. In the image above, the color and size variant base have two attributes (the attributes that appear in the lookup list have Attribute Linking set up for dim base value).
  3. Select attributes for Hard Attribute 2 and Hard Attribute 3 if desired.
  4. In the Variant Base Values section, select an attribute value for each variant base value in the fields that correspond to the attributes selected as hard attributes 1, 2 and 3.
